This article covers high-level uninstall expectations. EDR For Home support is scheduled / email-assisted, not a managed SOC or free remote monitoring. See Scope of Work.
Before you uninstall
- Confirm you need removal and save important work; a reboot may be required.
- Have your order number ready for support matching. It is not a token or passphrase.
- If reinstalling, get the current package and registration token; see Find your site token.
Passphrase
Uninstall may require an agent passphrase. If you have customer console access, use the endpoint Show Passphrase control. If not, email support@edrforhome.com with order number, device name, and OS. Never publish or use example passphrases.
Console (when provisioned): usea1-cw04edr.sentinelone.net.
Platform notes
- Windows: use the normal uninstall path or support-guided steps. Clean-only
SentinelOneInstaller -coptions are advanced/support-assisted; do not invent flags. Windows VSS rollback is not an uninstall method. - Mac: local admin approval and a passphrase may be required.
- Linux: removal depends on the installed .deb/.rpm package and policy.
Remote uninstall
Remote removal, when available, is not always reliable. Plan for a local attempt or scheduled support session.
After uninstall
Confirm the agent/service is gone. If reinstalling, use the current package and registration token—not the order number. Email support with OS/version, what you tried, and any error screenshot. We aim to reply in 1–2 business days.
